From October 30, 2022 through November 4, 2022 the International Bar Association held its Annual Conference at the Miami South Beach Convention Center. The Conference was attended by over 5000 lawyers from around the world, and included dozens of sessions each day giving lawyers a chance to learn or hear about current practice topics, as well as meet and network with colleagues. The event was held at the South Beach Convention Center, and had been sold out for months in advance.
The International Innocence Initiative attended in full force, with all three Directors in attendance for the event.
Our participation was well received, and our social media posts received a lot of coverage. The respected reputation of the Initiative's Directors was affirmed as speakers on several of the panels of experts greeted them in person and on social media, owing to their familiarity with them and their prior work in the field of international criminal law. This was the very first public appearance of the Innocence Initiative since its incorporation, earlier this year.
Through such networking events the goal of the Innocence Initiative is to spread information about our activities, and expand our international network of qualified affiliated lawyers, ready to represent future clients of the Innocence Initiative, wherever in the world they are needed.
