Tax Exempt Status as a Charitable organization under Federal Law is Achieved!
From Executive Director Kurt Kerns (February 21, 2023) | "I am pleased to let everyone know and announce that the International Innocence Initiative has been notified that the Internal Revenue Service has issued a final determination letter APPROVING our status as a Section 501(c)3 public charitable institution! You can download a copy of the determination letter from the direct link that is below. In light of this good news, we are in the process of setting up our website to formally accept donations and issue tax-deduction receipts for qualified donations. We will have updates on that in the near future. We thank all of our supporters for their patience and support. TOGETHER WE CAN DO MORE!" |
NOTE: Per the IRS rules and regulations for Charitable Organizations under Sec. 501(c)3 the International Innocence Initiative has been declared tax-exempt as a bonafide public charity. Donors can thus deduct any contributions that they make to our organization from their own federal taxes under Internal Revenue Code Section 170. We are also eligible to receive tax-deductible bequests, devises, transfers, or gifts under Sections 2055, 2106, or 2522. For access to the IRS Determination letter, either ask us or use the below link to download the official copy of our Determination letter directly from the IRS. |
